4 Easy Tips to Drinking More Water

Is it a struggle for you to get water down the hatch? Plain water doesn’t always taste that great. Also, it just seems like there’s not enough time in the day to go to the bathroom twelve times. I get it. Fortunately, I have been doing some digging on how to include more water into my diet. So, I wanted to share some things I have found that work for me.

This blog post contains affiliate links from Amazon. If you use them, I might be rewarded credit or a commission of the sale. Please note that I only recommend tools that I personally use and love and I always have my readers’ best interest at heart.

Tip #1: Set Timers

Yes. I said it. An actual timer on your phone, physical timer, or whatever device would help you the most. It would need to be one you will always have near you. Depending on your water goals, you can set your timer as often as you like. I set mine for 20 min. When my timer goes off, I chug as much as I can stand. One of the best ways I have found for myself, is chugging when I do have a drink. Otherwise, I don’t get much accomplished with one drink.

Tip #2: Flavoring

There are SO many flavoring options in the world, it is crazy. They have powders, zero sugar, energy, liquids, syrups, and many more. I change it up depending on my mood. My favorite is the Saltt brand of flavor packets. They are super hydrating with electrolytes and salt to replenish what you lost during the day. It is also zero sugar with no fillers or artificial dyes! They are a little salty but the flavors they have taste really good! The key is to just make sure you are hydrated. You can always get zero sugar if you are looking for healthier options.

Tip #3: Encouraging Water Bottle

Get you a nice water bottle that is however many ounces you are wanting. Amazon has water bottles that have nice sayings on the side to encourage you to drink more. There are several sizes to fit any need. I started out with a 64 ounce that encouraged me to keep going throughout the day. You can start however small or big you want. I like my water cold all day so I invested in a stainless steel double wall gallon size water bottle.

Tip #4: Water Filter

Sometimes water from the sink does not taste too great. I know ours doesn’t. Water filters are amazing and there’s so many different kinds available to us. I personally have a water filter attached to my faucet. There are plenty of those to choose from and something else I have seen is pitchers with water filters in them. You can stick those in the fridge to stay cold without using ice.

Those are a few tips that work for me. If you have some tips, leave me a comment! I would love to hear them! God bless!
